About

Editorial Policy

Our standards for accuracy, independence, sourcing, and corrections โ€” the principles that govern everything we publish.

Rewilding Report is an independent publication. We are not funded by any conservation organisation, government body, or commercial interest. Our editorial decisions are made entirely by our editorial team.

Our Mission

Rewilding Report exists to make the science, news, and practice of ecological restoration accessible to everyone โ€” from researchers and policymakers to gardeners and curious readers. We believe that informed communities are essential to the rewilding movement, and that quality journalism plays a vital role in building that understanding.

Editorial Independence

Rewilding Report operates independently of any conservation organisation, government agency, corporate sponsor, or advocacy group. Our editorial decisions โ€” what we cover, how we frame stories, and what conclusions we draw โ€” are made solely by our editorial team based on journalistic merit and public interest.

Advertising, affiliate partnerships, and sponsored content (where clearly labelled) do not influence our editorial coverage. Advertisers and affiliate partners have no input into which stories we cover or how we cover them.

Accuracy and Standards

We are committed to accuracy in everything we publish. Our standards include:

Sources and Attribution

We identify our sources wherever possible. We use anonymous sources only when the information is important to the public interest and cannot be obtained any other way, and when we are satisfied the source has direct knowledge of the information provided.

When covering scientific research, we link directly to the original peer-reviewed paper or preprint wherever it is publicly available. We summarise research in plain language while endeavouring to accurately represent the scope, limitations, and conclusions of the work.

Corrections Policy

We take corrections seriously. If we have made a factual error, we will correct it promptly and transparently. Corrections are noted at the top of the relevant article with the date of correction. We do not silently alter published content.

To report an error, please email info@rewildingreport.com with the subject line "Correction Request" and include the article URL and the specific error you believe has been made.

Conflicts of Interest

Our editorial team discloses any personal or financial connections to organisations or projects we cover. Staff and contributors are not permitted to write about organisations in which they have a financial interest without prior disclosure and editorial approval.

Sponsored Content and Advertising

Any sponsored content published on Rewilding Report is clearly labelled as "Sponsored" or "Advertisement." Sponsored content does not represent the editorial views of Rewilding Report and is subject to our factual accuracy standards before publication.

Display advertising and affiliate links (see our Affiliate Disclosure) are clearly distinguished from editorial content.
